One of the questions I get as a tour guide of Israel is why is anti-Semitism such a problem around the world. Well, a new documentary, Viral: Antisemitism in Four Mutations, is now streaming online on PBS. It looks at four different cases - the far right in the US (though the far-left also has its adherents), the far left in the UK, Hungary which has the weird case of being supportive of Israel but with anti-Semitic undertones and finally, the anti-Semitism of Muslim immigrants in France (as I imagine trying to go into the Muslim/Arab world for such a documentary was not advisable). This is an important look at just how this "virus" can mutate and find hosts in people from all political, social, economic, religious and ethnic/racial backgrounds.
